Grace Haring
M.S. | Pre-Licensed Clinician
Pronouns: She/Her
Clinical Interests
My training is as a generalist, and the majority of my experience to-date has been with the populations at a college counseling center. I have an interest in working with relationship difficulties, LGBTQ+ issues, women’s issues, family-of-origin concerns, and trauma, however I am happy to work with things that fall outside of these realms as well. I’m a believer in meeting my clients where they are and empowering them through our work together. My current theoretical orientation leans towards using aspects of Interpersonal Process Theory (IPT), emotion-focused therapy, feminist-multicultural therapy, DBT, and CBT to best suit the needs of my client. I strive to create a warm and welcoming therapy space for all.
Professional History
I am a third year doctoral student at the University of Tennessee pursuing my PhD in Counseling Psychology. Prior to this, I got my M.S. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky. My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Miami University. I come to Archway from working as a therapist at the UT Student Counseling Center, and I also have clinical experience in the career counseling field as a part of UK Alumni Career Services.
Personal Interests
I’m a big fan of little treats and romanticizing my life as much as my grad school schedule allows. You can find me around Knoxville getting dinner or drinks with friends, thrifting, and enjoying one of our many outdoor spaces to read and recharge. I also love exploring the Knoxville music scene, and cooking and eating new foods. "
